I think this item will work excellent although there hasn’t been any cold weather for me to test it in yet. It fits very well and works well with other balaclavas I have and the cycling helmet I will be wearing when I am using it. I am very please with it so far and am anxious to try it when the weather gets cold.

This fits great and is comfortable with my goggles and winter cycling helmet. It will definitely help keep my face warmer and stop the cold air from affecting my throat and lungs. Couldn’t even tell whatever the defect/seconds issue was. It looks exactly like the pictures and performs as others have reviewed the main product. The information about the product that is on the website perfectly describes both the physical mechanisms at play & how they function. The interior of the cup was indeed wet after my jaunt in the 0 F/-18 C weather, which it’s designed to do. To function properly (i.e. to keep a trapped moisture zone in front of your face), I think normal breathing is a key element. When my intake is slightly restricted my tendency is to take deeper breaths. Longer intervals between exhalations tends to let the moisture cloud disperse when it’s a little windy, so it took awhile to get the hang of resisting the urge to breathe longer & deeper when my physical activity didn’t merit it. After that it was a great aid to comfort walking around in crazy temps. Like I said, it’s not magic, as if the temp & degree of moisture exhaled is going make your breaths feel like Arizona in the summer, or like breathing through a muffler. Some of the reviewers seem to expect that. Instead of the exhalation heat & moisture instantly dispersing to the air, some of it is captured within a useful distance from your nose & mouth. That’s it. It still makes a significant difference.
